Preserving The Art of Film Photography In The Fashion Industry
[non profit pending]
We were gearing up for our Kickstarter campaign to fund the first issue of 35mm Magazine, which if you didn't know, Kickstarter campaigns are primarily funded by 'rewards' that the project gives to customers in return and as a thank you for supporting the campaign financially, and at the time we were thinking of these rewards we had this idea to offer photography workshops for the very first time. And not just "how to use a camera" type workshops, but they were how to shoot a fashion editorial and do it all on film. To be honest I didn't have too high of expectations for the demand of them, I just needed to fill the campaign with rewards and I was so naively confident that we would get funded by loyal fans alone who just wanted the magazine issue, but not only did we sell out of the workshops, we added more and those sold out too, and if we hadn't made the workshops a part of the campaign, I can promise you we would not have reached our goal to print. From then on we went on to establish 35mm Studio with the mission to teach aspiring fashion photographers and educate them on such a beautiful craft as analog.
True beauty is unaltered, one of the many reasons why we love film so much is the natural beauty and character it conveys.
"Let us make a difference one unretouched photo at a time."
